Grouting

WHAT IS GROUTING : It’s a procedure in which the diver installs support/grout bag underneath subsea pipelines and the grout(cement) is pumped into the bag which lift the bag and works as a support, as the grout(cement) sets. It also includes pile grouting.

In some cases divers are replaced by ROV’s (remotely operated vehicles) were the installation and filling is done by robots (rov’s)

GROUT BAGS

Various grout bags of different shapes and sizes are used as per the requirement, there are some types stated below

•           • Pyramid type
•           • Tunnel type
•           • J-TUBE

SEAMATRESS

It is used to stabilize sub-sea pipelines and reduce further friction.
